Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of the most common questions and answers our Members have about BandJammer. We will continually update this to try and ensure you can quickly and easily find the Answers to Your Questions.
If you cannot find your answer here, then please contact us via the ASK US tab on the right of the page and we will help you with your problem.
How is BandJammer different from other guitar tuition sites?
BandJammer is all about you. We focus on encouraging you to find your own style of playing, there is no right way to play guitar and you will only become better if you’re comfortable and having fun. We want you to experiment, improvise, sound good and impress your friends. BandJammer is also about jamming with the band. If you’re not in a band (yet) then you can jam along with the BandJammer musicians, and our jamming videos include bass and drums only, videos with no lead guitar or no rhythm guitar parts, so you can fill in yourself and become a member of the band and play it your own way.
Andy is with you every step of the way. This one-on-one connection with your teacher is hard to find online but at BandJammer you can ask Andy questions, get help on a tough part, request songs to learn and with three camera angles on our videos you can see exactly what Andy is playing with both hands all the time. If that’s not enough, we break down songs into bitesize pieces, so you can get each section just right before moving on and you don’t get overloaded with information.
Finally our community of musicians is filled with guitar lovers and people who are at the same stage as you.
BandJammer really is all about you, so make sure you get involved and have fun.
What level guitarist is BandJammer suitable for?
BandJammer is suitable for any level of guitarist, whether you are jut starting out or have been playing for years. We have lessons on basic chord positions, how to use your amp and effects and easy to learn riffs for beginners. For more advanced players there are super solos, the songs you’ve always wanted to learn and special sessions on improvisation, finger tapping and blues guitar playing. Andy will guide you through the process and help you to play guitar to the level you always wanted.
